View Full Version : Dizzi Cap Suggestions ?

gonna replace my cap and rotor arm, however in the past the only ones i could ever find had cheap silvery contacts on them and id prefer to get the OE style brass one

does anyone know any places that can actually get ducellier parts ?

i work in the motor trade and ive never known anyone to be able to get hold of them

The whole distributor is about £50 from renault, think you will struggle to get it direct fella... :roll:

yup ive currently got the OE ones on, as i replaced the dizzi itself last year and that came with everything already on

so aren,t the renault caps copper electrodes then.

not copper no, may have copper inside i dont know, but the contacts both sides of the cap are brass, and to buy them from Renault costs more than the dizzi itself which comes with both attached

Won't make that much of a difference TBH, most of us just run cheap trade dizzy cap and rotor arms, if you're that bothered get an autronic ECU and coilpack ;)

well the 'cheap' ones are £30 for both usually, so i thought for that kind of cash i might be able to get the OE ones

the "cheap" ones which cost around £10 from factors are fine.

Would be interesting to see what the spitfire* ignition system could do for these engines.

Anyone found any aftermarket caps/rotors to be the best?

*SPITFIRE: Not the awful spitfire plugs, but the ignition system that I know is rated highly for turbo engines.

sorry brun been ill. right i,ve got a dizzy cap and rotor arm package. it looks silver not brass. could just be outer coating. anyway made by BERU. part no DVK 053.

thanks mate, thats the one GSF sell so i think ill get that, i nearly ordered it today but i was too busy at work
