Just bought a Willy 2 with 77k on clock. Going thru paperwork last seems to have had a cambelt in 2000 but no mileage on invoice. Gather this is now well overdue? Some say 6yrs or 70k others say every 3yrs or 36k! Which is correct & anyone on here do the cambelt & tensioners & price please!

p.s yes this is an identical post as on ClioSport but wanted to see where I got the best replies ;)

The correct interval for a cambelt change is 5 years or 72k, but it is advised to get it done earlier than this.
Hillpower does the Cambelt and tensioners for £260 to club members.

OK cheers guys, car actually has a Hill power bypass & induction on already so may be worth going there. I shall look them up.
I am in Essex.

Called BB as very close to me but workshop is now closed, they are concentrating on selling only :(
Think Hill Power is a bit far for me...

Just read the top post bout the 16v that cuts out etc, mine would not start yesterday, just would not catch, the battery was very flat anyway so changed that but still no go then it caught but did not seem to be idling well so will check the couple of things mentioned on the post too!
