You know who and 4 like-minded adult-sized-children are taking part in this year's Scumball 3000 event Click (http://www.scumball3000.co.uk)

The current challenge is find a suitable vehicle for 3 of us to waft through Europe in for £500.

Current contenders are:

Ronin-tastic 605 V6 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160083460187&rd=1&rd=1)

or

Pimp-tastic 420 SEL (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190082676174&rd=1&rd=1)

I've always had a soft spot for the 605 and thought it was like a more cohesive 405. It has an air of french-shed-cool about it I reckon. But then the Merc screams sillyness and ability to donut!

Anyone got any other peachy finds to offer?

Been thinking of old bimmers, like the E32 7s as well, but the only thing that puts me off is if something does break then it'll get pricey quick.

Still not ruled 'em out though. Also been watching a BX GTi 16v and a 405MI16 but both went for over £500 in the end. The BX was cool as. 8)

Vauxhall Carlton? Ex-forces one in white. Strong as an Ox and steered from the rear!

Carlton and Senators are on the list, although I've recently become aware of just how rotten they can get and how invisible the rot can be. :(

Matt, you know much about the E32 7s?

Biggest suggestion so far has been teh E34 535 as it has a slippy diff.

Saabs/Volvos are also on the list.

There was a Chevvy Cammero (sp) 5l v8 on ebay...buy it now £850. My first thoughts were buy it and do a euro-trip!

would have been the ultimate (if you could afford fuel lol)
