I need to get a set of magnesium speedlines either painted or refurbed.

Where does anyone reccomend?

Dont want to pay 50 pounds a wheel to get them done as they will only be used on the track car.

Is it possible to get a good finish by rubbing them down and painting them yourself?

yes it just takes time. or you could just use a sprayer rather than a wheel refurbishment place. cost me twenty quid to have four wheels done.

I know a place that does an awesome job for less than £35 a wheel look the danglies, but as you said it for track so maybe a lil expensive!

Remember powder coating will be better than traditional spraying for wheels....basic paint easily scrapes off, whilst powder coated is more resistant. (Note: I used to work in a paint lab for PPG developing paint for BMW/Rover).

Might be a good idea I suppose. After washing them, if you use spray cans you can 'easily' touch them up.

So I take it that williams wheels are sprayed as apose to powder coated when first made? I've had some powder coated and the coulours not quite right. I've got another set which need re-furbing, so I'm debating whether to have them sprayed or not....think they look better that way. :?
