View Full Version : do safety camera vans
always have to be marked. passed a van today plain white with what looked like two cameras. one at the top of each door. any idea,s
I dont think they do but dont quote me on that. There is one near me that moves to a few usual spots, usually just after a gatso when everybody speeds back up and it isnt marked. Im not sure on the rules about them though.

Think it depends on which area you are in.
Mat.
west wales so they normally are. wondered with two camera,s maybe tax disc or anpr van.
the ones with 2 cameras are usually tax disc vans...they have the back doors open full.
the laser camera vans usually just have a little hatch at the back or side.
duals are usually tax vans, think they need the two to see the genuine foil thingy properly

Speed Camera vans have to have the speed camera logo in big on the front of the van, or thats what they all have round here anyway + some other police decals.
the only ones ive seen without stickers are tax vans etc with 2 cams at the top of rear doors, every speed cam one ive seen says things like satefy camera partnership!(money please lol)
class as i was booting it a little ans didn,t see it till later. but my road angel missed it so i was hopeful. was on a dual carriage way.
