:) yes its been a full year since i bought the Williams and iv enjoyed every day of it
after having cam belt /water pump and a full service i started to enjoy and appreciate the car i had admired for years (after seeing a mint blue dimmer years ago)
it was pretty hassle free motoring for a month until a night of spirited driving finally saw the end of the gearbox
when i bought the car it was jumping out of 5th on the way home
so i always knew this would happen so got that sorted without to mush hassle
thanks to the guys on here having all sorts of parts and experience
april came so it was mot time
not to much of a problem with that . all it needed was 2 rear brake hoses and a front balljoint
while getting the hoses sorted my power steering pump failed so i had a bit of a panic for a few days but then managed to source and fit the pas pump
it was a big deal for me to do that but it learnt me a lot
from then on i will always attempt to do my own work
soon after i had another chance to do more work
the starter motor failed
no big problem i sourced 1 from here got it fitted in about 2 hours
so pretty much from april ish nothing else has gone wrong
the car runs great starts every time and is my daily drive
it could do with sprucing up and needs a new/respray on the bonnet
and a few minor jobs doing ( slight water leak caused by me doing coolant change)
the window switches need cleaning ( seem ok if its sunny lol )
temp sensor flashes -32
changing rear disks next week(warped at donnington changed front discs n pads last week)
in April after the next mot i might try a decat and straight through mid section but still in 2 minds as what to do
its deffinatly the best car iv owned also the fastest :)
with the best drive and feel
i have been in better / bigger cars but nothing has ever give me the smile or confidence that this car gives
i still buzz after every drive a 2 minute nip to the shop can easily turn in to an hour of just out enjoying the drive going nowhere
sorry for the long post
btw its been a pleasure meeting you shower of shites and giving me a good excuse to get out of the house and drive
looking forward to the next year of clio ownership http://www.williamsclio.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_salut.gif
