I bought a new (second hand) hub and drive shaft...

Got it all apart, no probs...

But now the (driver side) drive shaft wont come out?

Im told with a tug it should come?!!?

ive tugged, pulled, pushed and hit.......nothing!!!!

What am i doing wrong?!?

also what torque should the big nut at the end be to??

Cheers Rob!!

have you undone the nut etc. are you trying to remove it from the hub end or completely from the car. have you removed the hub bolts. if its just stuck in the hub put the nut back on the end of the threads and give it a clout

everything is off the car.

Just a floppy drive shaft to pull out from the gearbox?

HAHA, have you got the rollpin out ?

there is a rollpin that keeps the driveshaft on the sunwheel, knock it out and the shaft will come off the car

It should come out, they're only a rollpin, get the right size punch and it'll come out easy, try WD40

You could drill it out, its a uniform diameter but try knocking it out first.

You'll need a new one to refit the driveshaft if you drill it out but they're only a couple of quid from renault

with all the pulling you've been doing, you might have bent it or made it tighter, knock the shaft back on slightly and try and punch it out then.
