I'm not entirely sure on all the spec but it has a lot of GrpA parts on it.
It's #0089 and only had 12 miles on the clock before being converted, it has a different rack, an RS box with uprated shafts, GrpA ECU and all the RS engine mounts.
Dunno whats been done inside the engine.

MAXIBOY

if its a sodemo built engine, 230bhp is very possible, he must have good cash stocks...

I presume you mean 13 grand not 13,500 grand lol!! Even so    seems fooking pricey for only 230bhp :?

Depends how you look at it, if it's lasted since the car was nearly new 93/94 and unbeaten in the last 5 years, starts to make it more worthwhile.
How many times has yours been off the road?

Bobby Fryers ~~ owner of Nicholas Smiths (Skipton),Had a Williams 1 ~~ one of the very very first ~~ I think it was put together by HARLOW Motorsport, had a 230bhp Sodemo engine ran up to 8500rpm with the single plenum /injection   ,with a Renault sport straight cut dog box   ,did 96mph at 8500 in top ~~~ set track records on the Hillclimb scene ~~ in its class (modified Production Saloons) it had to retain interior trim, legal road going tyres ~~ not the Tarmac racers on the one in the pictures, was a brilliant piece of kit ~~ Bobby sold it on to a guy in Nelson, who kept it for a while, then I think it ended up in Wales
I was offered it for £12,500 with a load of bits ~~~ did not have the dosh tho

Well I guess it's only done very minimal mileage in that time as those engines are pretty highly stressed...and I guess the success is due in part to the driver too.... but yeah I still think it's expensive! lol

But then again I'm a normal person not someone who's minted and can afford to throw 50k at a clio.....if I had 10s of thousands of pounds in the bank I'd say it's been good value.

you sure its not the same one this was built by harlow motorsport and has a dogbox etc,i wouldnt say the engine would be stressed its built to withstand high rpm thats why its a steel bottom end

Does sound like the same car, this one is from wales and you could hear the box whining as we pushed it in and out of the workshop.
