Syncro is going on my valver gearbox, but there's no way Id even consider getting a rebuild.

Im sure you are looking nearer 1k than £500, so Im just gonna wait until it goes and get a williams engine, that'd be my advice!

Whenever ive had quotes theyve been £500+ not including VAT.

I can get them done by a local firm for around 350-400 all in...BUT he wont warranty them for me, cos he knows the type of engines they typically go on lol

Try KN Transmissions, Rod on here recommends them, you get a warranty as well. I might be getting mine rebuilt by them in the summer.

Cheers for that Tommo,I think KN's standard charge for strip/rebuild is £150 plus ~~~ then obviously there are the parts.
I have had an Avanti CR box and a ZF type LSD,stripped and checked,with the diff re ~~ torqued :( :(
£200 plus a vodka and tonic :wink:

How much to strip internals out of one casing and put into another from this place? Will that come under the standard strip - rebuild for £150?

I've got a refurbed williams box but the casing is cracked. Didn't find out until it was back in car and sure it was done whilst being refurbed.

Currently got 3 williams box's 1 which started to whine, 1 which was refurbed (but cracked casing) and another in car which has just started to whine.

i paid 450 for box removing from car,fixing with new bearings & selector fork,clutch fitted and box fitting back into car,also he fitted a clutch pedal which i supplied,a month down the line,here i am,lol got a hole in the box i splashed out on,from car bin too low

AVANTI MOTORSPORT is who will do it for that price for me. builds 200bhp n/a punto's :shock: Very knowledgable guy, he said he can put uprated internals etc into it.

Can vouch for the guy at Avanti knowledge ~~ he supplies Close Ratio gear clusters,ZF (style) Plated LSD's and also there own LSD's with bolt in shafts ~~ for serious power.
Main Agents for the Columbi ~ Bariani cams,that were used in some of the DIAC Grp A cars ~~~ I still have some for sale :wink:
