I have a 1.2 with a knacked engine.

Looking for possable upgrades. This is my first clio so i am not clue'd up on everything yet. Honda's are my main pleasure. :D

Anyways,

I have a P reg, Mk1 Phase 3 Clio, with a 1.2 8v engine.

Looking into a 1.8 or a 2.0 engine swap. (valver or willy engines)

Been doing alot of searching and came up with this, but i need some help on some things.

Parts needed :

*Engine, ECU, Harness
*Mounts inc Dogbone
*Fuel Pump
*Brakes, 1.2's might be too small

*I have been told i need the 16v suspension, but i have also been told, since my clio is already lowered, the springs i have should cope with the extra weight?

*Valver/Willy driveshafts, But been told my ones would do?
* I will use the Valver/Willy gearbox, unless you can sugest a better one?

If someone could confirm if i am right or wrong that would be great. Cheers

Save yourself the bother. It isn't cost effective, and probably more hassle than it's worth. You'd have to uprate the brakes, suspension, yada yada.

Just buy a valver for 300quid.

I had one of those clios and almost 2ltr'd it.

You'll need;

- Engine (loom and ECU),
- Coilpack,
- 16v Radiator and fan,
- Top engine mount (rest are fine),
- 16v Fuel pump,

You're drivehshafts will fit and you suspension will get you buy altho 16v ites would be better/stronger, you may need to butcher the underside of the phase 3 bonnet due to the 16v inlet, you can use your own gearbox altho 16v box will be better ratios.

Get a antiroll bar tho as you're doesn't have one!
