If so, could you ask them what regulation they would be breaching by picking up a non-booked customer from the street as a paying fare?

are you on about the mini cabs?

they will be in breach of their local licencing law with their local council.

Not sure exactly what section it comes under....

If your on about black cabs they can pick anyone up

Im a licenced taxi driver.

If your a private hire, what your saying is illegal for them.

Hackney licenced drivers are like the black cabs of mini cabbing, they can do it legally.

The ones liceneced to do that are the ones with the light up sign on the roof arent they?

I used to taxi my mates about for money its illegal but if I got pulled I used to say I was givin em a lift.
