How do you qualify for traders insurance?

Are there any restrictions of use or vehicles.

stan

Yeah the restrictions usually go on cost of the policy...

for e.g i can drive any vehicle (as can anyone i name at no extra cost) up to a max of £15k i think it is...thays TRADE value tho. so this covers anything i need right now.

the only "problem" ive encountered is insuring a modified car...e.g. my to-be race williams. because its a trade policy, they give u trade cost...so if a willy uve spent 10k on in mods gets nicked, u'll get £1500-2000. however for me, its locked in a secure unit constantly, so it poses little problem. it may for others.

its handy tho, as mine is wrapped in with liability, contents, service indemnity etc etc for the business...so it just means one monthly payment.

im usnsure as to whether u have to actually be trading...

my friends have a traders policy purely because they change cars like every other week.

They both work and are not trading as a company.

They both still accrue no claims bonus too.

how much roughly are traders policies for like a simple value of the car type one like it seems you have stan? obviusly as you've said they can vary but just instances how much they are so i can con the old man to get one so i can drive our fleet of cars at home

^^ what age are you?

Sounds like they could be a good idea - might be worth looking into. I had pressumed that you had to be a registered trader before you could get that sort of insurance.

I think most insurance providers prefer you have multiple cars tbh.
