hi all

my car recently has been juddering/holding bac when i get to certain revs...hard to describe apart from sounds like a popping sound..and then it wil sunddenly take off again.....normally happens when is cold....but i do warm the car up before i drive...but has happened once or twice when id been driving for about 10 mins

any ideas?

spray brake cleaner around gaskets and any vac pipes, if you hear an increase in revs your likely to have a air leak.

also check the ignition, dizzy cap, rotor arm, check the leads arn't broken or come loose and check the plugs

sounds like it could be the lambda to me.

what does the lambda do exactly

it mainly happens when its cold...as in..i start it up and rev the engine it wil kind of pop constantly as its revving....


if i took it somwhere and they connect it up to the machine thing will it tel me any faults?

yes they will be able to. now you mention popping it could be all sorts of things, you checked the plugs, leads ect as popping soemtimes denotes not firing on all cylinders. can you get a vid of the problem so we can hear the problem?

to check lamba remove it and shake it, if it rattles its ****ed
