i LOVE ebay, picked this up for an undisclosed fee this morning :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280074042531&rd=1&rd=1

OE fitment as well so no risk of pins for me either.

dunno what you mean by way of history mate, all i know is that its carbon and OE fitment. not been used for a little while (sold the car i think) and could do with a top re-laquer, that can wait until summer though.

I thought it maybe carbon skinned (hope for your sake its not!)

Just because he describes it on ebay as very heavy?!

Rich
24-01-2007, 18:29
yeah, can see what your saying. but its described as a carbon bonnet and not carbon skinned so we shall see. i've emailed him to check before its sent anyway and paid via paypal so its protected. we shall see, i wil reserve judgement and thinking of anything but that its as described until i'm lead to believe otherwise

tbh rich is this normally not what "carbon bonnets" are.

is gaz's fibreglass one not the same. grp skin on a frame.

still lighter than std. but not a grp/frp skin!

Rich
24-01-2007, 19:00
well we will see, tbh i'm not fussed if its 'super light' or not as it will look good anyway! we will see as i say. and people heeeaaavvy can be exaggerated so we will find ooot in due course

cant be heavier than std, they weight a fookin tonne anyway! 8)

Rich
24-01-2007, 19:03
lol yeah, but the way some people are talking they are meaning its just carbon over the top of the outer metal skin!
