Give us some spec?

Probably soon to have (if not already) a CTR engine or something, knowing the owner

Id love one, how much it set you back if you dont mind us asking? Whats insurance like?

20v turbo would be interesting! Or try b16a honda, lightweight 170bhp! :)

You can pick up a standard Elise for about £7-£8k now I guess. Plenty of pitfalls, but plenty of fun :)

lol they were there b4 i parked up, i went round the back

I'd like to fit the Type R, Ben can you run them on the oe managment if you re-wire the loom.

Apparently with a 20V or Type R lump round the track not much would keep up 8) it would say bye bye to a 400bhp Saph, even my clio did that

yea, you cna run the original engine loom and manipulate the stock ECU to ignore the immobiliser functions, and retain full mapping facilities....on the K20A that is.

The VAG lump might give you higher output instnatly, but the K20 has the ability to be turbo/supercharged on a stock motor, and in K24 trim spit out 640bhp on a stock engine. Plus running an elise with a low revving tractor engine would be horrid.

yer i thought with the torgue lower down it would be odd, not as Lotus intended. Although i went in a 320bhp 20v Elise (ihi vf34 + 440cc + emerald) and that was allot of fun. Im yet to go out in the honda powered one but like the idea of reving the crap out of it. :D

I know your not a "fan" of the 20v design and a lover of the Honda.

Can you tweek the std Honda ecu's to work or know anyone who can.

have you any proof of that ,pics/vids,

was the driver of the saff in the car????

maybe goin round a track against a 400bhp saff with a crap driver but pulling away from one :?: :?: :?:

Lol, calm down  it was a 350bhp saff and the guy was good. but bear in mind my clio was 280bhp and allot lighter than a saff!!

wayne from chipwizard did the map bit,the guy does trackdays with it and when it was initially picked up by him he test drove it accross blackstone edge and you could hear him braking for the lights at the other end!!

about 4 miles away 8)

he was white when he came back :!:

The honda is a superior engine.

The OE honda ecu can be manipulated to run any configuration engine from na to boosted.
