Gotta be lit up.
Matt
haha
i wasnt trying to be a 182...just after somthing different..not just your standard placement of the exhuast pipe..
i was goin to go more than the 182 thing though and put the pipes where the numberplate was
so i have to have it lit up then?
so i have to have it lit up then?
Yep, by law
But you could place it somewhere else and graft a light onto it, like in your bootlid.
When poeple smooth a boot for say a MK2 golf, you can buy a number plate recess kit for the bumper, so you could recess it somewhere lese I suppose.
Will still look shit though
move it to the side and use a square plate though it still has to be lit
whats the penalty if its not lit up
whats the penalty if its not lit up
fine? Points? MOT failure?
Not too sure, but I wouldn't chance it
its an mot failure so no insurance
damn edit button..
so would it be ok to use a sqaure number plate..in the same place..
with 2 tailpipes on each side..in the recessed bit
yes why not. the lights would make your tail pipes light up NICE
its an mot failure so no insurance
Erm, no. If you have insurance, it's insured.
Article 75
jsut what i was thinking...
now again...im taking it you cant use the motorbike square plates can you...has to be bloody car ones...like on suvs...wil that fit on the back bumper without much modding...im thinking of length wise..not width
insurance can be classed invalid if the vehicle has no mot or is not in an mot able condition. had a mate where they refused to pay as the car had one tyre below legal requirements. think you can use motor bike plates as long as they are correctly spaced. not the tiny ones. evos extra use them
They can try to refuse to pay, but under Article 75, they were the insurers at the time of the accident and have to pay. If they wish to attempt to recoup their outlay from the owner of the vehicle due to defects, then they can do so at their own costs
so even though it states that the insurance is only valid if the vehicle is in an mot able condition they have to pay. cool
