im having the cambelt and tappets done so im thinking of doing the cams at the same time!
What cams should i get?? dont want to spend a furtune but want something good!
also what else do you need to buy with it??
would the ecu need anything doing to it??

Like Maxiboy says, Catcams who have a website at www.catcams.be or piper cams. I wouldn't touch Kent cams. ;)

Usually you need to get the cams and the verniers (to set the cam properly). You don't need the valve springs, etc as usually OEM are fine unless you get some drastic profile cam in there. :)

The ECU wouldn't need touching for them to work. But it would be good to have it chipped in the future to take "full" advantage of the mods.

Catcams cams are £450, and pulleys £210 (all in).

Best getting a remap rather than a generic chip.

in my experience......better off gettin a on old kippers can n using that as the chip than a hill power chip too.

stan - what sort of spec are those cams quoted? i know cat do a few varients. Will hopefully be looking to get a set summer time

You think thats bad, my full cam/valve train assembly is costing me circa £1500+...this is cams, pulleys, followers, shims, Ti retainers, springs, and valves.

Power is expensive!

mechanical. these are £26 EACH retail from Catcams :shock: Thats not including shims either!
