Been reading the AutoExpress test and they recommended Halfrauds super performance bulbs after testing loads of Plus 50s at Philips test centre.

Anyone used these and have a verdict?

The ones the J-plater has in a muppety xenon aping ones that are only slightly blue on dipped but stupidly blue on sidelights.

Suppose I could just replace teh sidelight bulbs.

I bought them for mine when the 2 for 1 offer was on. Seems whiter when you look at them, but tbh, didnt really make much of a difference when driving in the dark, certaninly wouldnt buy 2 at full price, if the ones in there already work.

Does look better than the yellowish ones previously though.

i read that article too.. will be worth trying them out, therelegal, HID kits are not unless they are E marked, and the beam diffusion is true to the light angle meter thingy

I've just fitted some PIAA Platinum bulbs on my Valver, as one of my originals went. All I can say is they are worth the £50 if you can't afford HID's. The light given off is very white, not dull at all. I think they were a good buy.
