I fancied taking my car for a bit of a pasting through the trough of bowland today, just up the road from me in Lancashire.

I wanted a bit of a change from driving round town and by god these cars are good on twisty country roads. It put a smile on my face for the whole drive.

So responsive up in the rev range, in the lower gears, 4k plus all day! :o

Thought Id take my camera with me and take some pics.

So here they are;

Where's the trough?

Its garstang, Lancashire.

Just south of Lancaster.

There's not just the trough there's miles and miles of tight country twisty roads :o

Im a cyclist and ride my bike out there so know all of the roads.

Its great!

Better in the week cause there's just no traffic.

There's too much traffic at weekends, walkers, cars, families etc!

Hmmmm, bit far to go just for a blast for me when we have Snakes, Cat & Fiddle and the A640 on my door step

Yeah,

Its pretty busy with traffic there though isnt it?

And you get police snipers on there dont you?

None of that in the trough, really quiet too.

WOW!

I have never seen anyone else with these wheels on a blue valver before. Sweet! :D

I actually got the idea from a lad on here, he used to have some on his hybrid.

I polished the lip on mine tho! :o

The car is filthy on the pics there but they look real good when the car is clean.

Im not sure whether they tuck in though, dont sit quite as wide as phase 2's but this mite be an illusion as theres a bit of a dish o n these wheels, whereas on the phase 2's they go the opposite way - not too sure what the word is for opposite of dished

Cheers

^It's been off the road for quite a while so I've only done 1,000 miles or so in it...usually just pop into preston to go to asda, but I'm round Garstang a fair bit.

Where you at?

A rep!! lol.

its quite a high graded route on the advanced course, not many roads as good as this in uk, other than snowdonia, highlands and.. the settle to malham road.. lol

i highly recommend this run.....there are some rogue sheep though
