if you have a wiliams blcok, u need a wiliams starter motor, its shorter than the 1.8 16v unit.

if it is listed on that site to fit a williams, then it will fit a williams.

why dont u just give um a ring to confirm it if in doubt.

right ive rung Wood Auto Supplies and the only differnce between the starter that Maxiboy listed and the one i found is that one has a 9 tooth wheel and one has a 10 tooth one,

anyone have an old willy starter laying about so that they could maybe count the teeth on it?

ive gone through 3 starters in a year..
a williams one 2 were the megane 2.0l f7r 16v ones.. i do not know why they are different, but the megane ones are a lot smaller, and take a bit more time to fire the engine up.

the laguna v6 one apparently fits. summy has the part code..

How much were they asking? It says on WoodAuto that the Williams starter is the same as fitted to the 16v and lots of other stuff. I was led to believe that this wasnt the case and that the Williams starter was larger.

MAXIBOY

i thought it was shorter and the megane high torque one smaller still

so many options

V6 one sounds like an idea tho

i thought that was strange aswell Bluenose that they list so many other cars for that starter motor?

The company i work for has the same unit in stock at £26 but it's listed for the 1.8 16v and i was told that it would not fit a williams.
