if anyone knows anyone whos done this please let me no. we got no spark and at the mo cant be arsed to go out and have a look. gonna spend sat on it but would like a few bits of info to go armed with.

got 1 prob. the wiring. in the black box by the strut. the brown plug fits but the white 1 doesnt. 1 has 4 purple coloured wires and the other has about 6 diff coloured wires. gotta get this sorted for a m8. (im thinking this is why theres no spark????)

off to look through the haynes now but as above i need to speak with peeps who have done the conversion to see what probs theyve come up with.

also would the ecu (immobiliser) be of concern?

hey mate, the only wire of concern on the white plug is the thick white one, that'sd the fuel pump, connect that to a yellow wire on the 1.4 loom. Make sure all your earths are connected and check the valver loom and make sure all the reds and yellows are connected on the plugs, you may have to do some chopping.

im assuming the thick white wire mention above is the fuel pump and that goes to a thick yellow one on brown plug... gonna check the brown plugs 2mro to see if the wires all line up.

im just concerned about the rest of the wires and what they are.

we have no spark at the mo and am just tryin to clarify if these wires on the plugs will prevent it from sparking.

if not i can then check earths,tdc sensor,ht leads,plugs...etc

any help will be greatly appreciated

hey, heres a tip;

On your 1.4 loom you took out, chop that off at the brown plug. Now plug that 1.4 plug into your 1.4 brown plug that's on the car in that black box do the same with the valver end.

Now make sure the yellows go to yellow and same with red and that should get you the spark. After that connect all the wires from the chopped valver plug to the 1.4 one making sure the wires go to the right places: EG, A1 goes to A1 on the other plug. There will be a few spare wires, thats ok. If that doesn't work check your relays. Oh, snip the thick white wire off the white valver plug and put it to a yellow wire, that's your fuel pump that goes to the relay.

but basically you reckon to just check that reds go to reds and yellows go to yellows and same with all the other colour wires??

reds to reds as they are perm live, yellow to yellow they are ign lives, worry about those fore now.

It's not colour coded for the other wires.
