View Full Version : Water, water everywhere!
Bloody, bloody monsoon!
Thought my clio escaped the worst of it in December (highest month of rainfall since 1893, 113 years ago!). Was mostly nice and dry parked in my sheltered carpark. But the torrential cloudbursts came back few days ago, popping up all over the skies and looks like staying for a while. Drove through 8 inch high floods yesterday and it survived, even with steaming vent. But I fear she will be seeing more of the same for next few days. Hopefully not higher than that, as we do get them chest height some times
I think I will just parked my car and sleep off the whole month :(

Heh, if you get our rainfall over the past month. You will be having quite a few new lakes and islands in the "formerly" rolling hills Yorkshire. 216mm yesterday alone, that's about twice UK's MONTHLY rainfall! I am staying in this weekend, for sure.
Just a word of warning boys and girls, hit a puddle doing about 50 last weekend, had no choice but to go through it, struggling to keep the car straight, half way through engine dies, check everything over and its all fine apart from the fule lines hanging off the bottom of the car.
Force of the water had ripped the fuel lines apart and ripped the plastic carrier off the bottom of the car.....****ing cunt, got it back to gether and sorted with teh help of an RAC man 8)
