Just wanna double check this head gasket will be ok, for when I put the megane bottom end on the 1.8 16v head? Someone said the megane head gasket is metal and stronger.. Also surely the bores arn't the same size?

I know it is, but been told it will be fine for the 2.0, nevermind then, i'll just buy the megane one.

It won't, the bores are too small.

Always use the head gasket that matches the BE, even if your mixing and matching heads.

I thought it was just stroked, not bored

I thought it was just stroked, not bored

that's right! lunner uses a 1.8 head gasket with no problems, they're the same

0.3mm difference on the bores.

use the megane if you can, cant see any reason not too.

ok thanks chaps, will get the megane one.

Are the inlet manifold, camcover, and exhaust manfold gaskets from a megane head the same as the 1.8 16v head?
