Steering feels lighter with less kickback since I put the Pro Race wheels on with the 195/50s...I'm pretty damn sure it's not my imagination....surely they would'nt make such a difference though?

Feels miles better :)

I'll put it down to offset .....I could feel a difference between ET36 and 37

Or maybe just the difference in tyres as some feel stiffer than others

Should be better due to less unsprung weight and maybe a different offset.

I still can't believe the transformation on new tyres from the old ****ed ones... it really ish like someones been playing with springs, shocks, balances etc...

Loving it at the moment 8)

Lighter wheel/tyre combination will do that. Less work for the suspension and the tyre follows the road undulation more accurately. What's the per wheel/tyre weight difference, Martin?

Guess what i'd had exasctly tyhe probelm, feels like i've got shit loads of play in the steering, just spent 5 hours wrestling another manual rack off a clio to replace and see if that sorts it, but defo noticable with teh pro race's on tehre

Not sure tbh around 2-3kg saving a wheel.....not sure on the weight of turdbines but they are quite weighty!
