I was insured at 18 with tesco - Fully comp at 2200. At 19 i swapped to Adrian Flux and dropped the cover to TPFT and my premium fell to 1200 and now at 22 its 400 8)

Elephant was by far the cheapest for me followed by bell (same company). I was 20 when i got my valver with 3 years no claims and i stil pay well over a grand but i live in a slum and work in the motor trade!!

I would defo try them though as they were a good 400 cheaper than anybody else.

I got a a great price with elephant, had my license for a year, 0 no claims bonus, and it was £1100 with all mods declaired (suspension, wheels, airfilter, exhuast, chip, stripped and buckets!) ok thats for an RSi but there only 1 insurance group lower.

Just rung round everywhere last week getting quotes, everywhere is shit apart from elephant and admiral

Tried Adrian flux
greenlight
endsleigh
tesco
allen and allen
premium choice

Bes bet at your ages is Elephant or Admiral, apparently Bell is the same compnay too, these quotes ahve always been around the same for me, also add your old dear onto your policy as a named driver (policy still in your name etc), and it brought mine down by a few hundred quid

Yeah forgot to mention that. When i put my mum on the policy it dropped substantially, not that she'll ever drive it

cheers peeps, big help... i was with elephant, but they have changed there policies.... they wont cancel existing policies, but for renewels and new policies, you have to be 21 plus as a named driver....

Just had an arguement with elephant lol

Rang up to pay for my quote and tehy said they dont' insure cars with teh interiors removed and just 2 seats in, told them pretty much to **** off, i'm insured by admiral who use the same underwriters and no probs and i kow other people with teh same mods insured with them.....anyways managed to get them to accept it cus my current insurance is with admiral.....but apparently they normally don't

Roll on next year when i have a years ncb and can go with green light
