That happened to me in a 205. Was in the outside lane of a motorway doing about 80mph at the time. Bloody shit myself!

I think the catch failed and it flew up when it was driven. Not sure why it failed as it had just done a leeds-barnsley 90mph run with no probs.

was there not a post on clio sport and the telly about a spate of this model having problems because they had a plastic bonnet catch on them. think there where quite a few people with the same problem and they were trying to get renault to admit they were at fault. can not remember the out come though

Happened to a friend a few weeks ago in her clio like that, she wasnt happy, but renault didnt really want to know either.

suppose that the only good reason for valver/williams bonnets opening the opposite way...but makes them a bastard to work on.
