can't select reverse gear since clutch change

Morning all,

I did a clutch change the other day, but haven't had the engine on since as of yet.
Ive just checked everything over ready to fire her up, and ive just noticed i cant get it into reverse gear?!
The only party of the linkage i took apart was the bit under the rubber boot at the front of the car, i took out the bush and sleeve and have replaced them in the same place!
But for some reason i cant get reverse. all other gears are ok, although first is a bit stiffer than before.

you will need to re-align the linkage mate. check its not now rubbing on the zorst as this sometimes happens if it moves :)

i'd put money on someone forgot the thick washer on the linkage under the box.... i've done that before :roll: jack it up and try and select reverse (easier if a friend does it) you will see where the bolt is hitting the box. undo the 13mm. fit the washer and away you go.


Thats "if" it is that. if not you need to re-align it .
