My car died today on my way to work. Seems to be a recurring problem with my hybrid and only seems to happen if i turn on all the electrical stuff at once.

I have changed:

The battery (now a heavy duty one)
Alternator, although it is a 16v one and not a williams witch i believe is better
Alternator belt

Any idea's?

check the wiring from the starter to the battery to the alternator..

you checked on multimeter to see if battery is charging?

If it conks out while driving, it's probably an alternator-related issue; unless you have some electrical equipment that's consuming too much power.

What's the charging voltage across the alternator or battery with all the electrical stuff switched on?

I havent got a multimeter but my mechanic should have one.....i will get him to test it when he changes my very noisy wheel bearing...
