Rev counter

Ok i thought i had an idle problem, but now the rev counter has just packed in all together :S

short of it being a fuse how is this thing powered ??

is it electrical or run off a cable ?

any help thanks

Ok a little update now when you turn the ignition the rev counter goes to the 0 mark, then once the engine is started goes to 900, but when you rev the engine nothing happens the c rev counter does a little twitch and thats about it. Could it be getting stuck ?

USe your thumb and push down on the centre of the needle (the black cap part) quite firmly and rev the engine, does it work then?

ok well that worked :D

now its back to reving at 1500 :S grrr going to have to find why that is now bbl :S

ok now im really stumped, when i put my lights on the rev counter goes down and also when i put my foot on the brakes it goes down too :S
how ever the engine note does not change so might be an electrical problem with the speedo :S
