well been sanding tthem down and gettign rid of all the corrision!!! been a mission

finially got round to sprayign 1 of them, no laquared it yet gna do that 2moz.

see if u can guess the colour? 8)

looking alot nicer. before they was chipped to f**k, scratched, missing laquer etc...

I had a feelin that wer it,done some evo r's in that colour myself,is the polished lip returning?

flat sander with 120 grit sand paper,then 240 grit wet n dry rubbed by hand,up to 400 then 600.

finsh with autosol.

see coop's black phase 2's for results. :D

Which do you start from if they're already minty polished but you have a very slight accident with a kerb and autosol doesn't do nowt? :oops:

i have a tool but dont know what its called,just moved house so cant find it either to post a pic!!!

tool shop open again on tuesday so will get another one,will pm you when i do,dont live far from you so i will get 2 and meet you somewhere for you to try it!!!

How did you get the bolt seats to stay silver?

Am in the middle of doing a set too but can't decide on the colour you have (or very similar) or silver so i did one of each to compare. will post pics when done to see what people think.

hOW much paint did you use for that one?

they are not great... can see in reflection where i rubbed them down where the ships in the paint was!! grr and 1 has gone all cloudy redoing it 2moz cuz it got damp etc.. but they look rly nice compared to the old wheels!

1st time sprayign wheels

next time i think i wil lget them acid dipped OR shot blasted will look much NEETER then!

will post pics wen on car. ( tuesday)

warm the wheels with a hairdryer before and between coats,

also put the tins on a radiator to warm them,,,obviosly not for too long though or you may need to repaint that :D :D :D

Or a bowl / sink of hot water to expand paint molecules.
