Should be a key hole under the dashboard on the passenger side I think.

Take it out, wires shoudl pull off the back and take it inside and dry it all out, put it in airing cupboard etc and dab it with bog roll

Just lock the car up manually with the key for tonight

This is a PH3 tho ;)

Early ph2's have them still like L and M's ...Nreg is Ph3 style

Get it banged on the rad for an hour or 2 before you go out??

Other answer is get a ph1 RT ecu

my mk1 ph3 1.2(bug eye) doesn't use the crappy old style plip's to disarm the immob, it has the newer chip in the key, and a decoder ring on the key barrel, just put the key in and it detects the chip to authorise the immob to disarm

take the ir sensor circuit board from your car, you will see 3 ir diodes, look underneath where the legs are soldered on...you should see blue/green corrosion, lightly remove it with a pin and reassemble unit.. it should then work.
