Just finished putting the engine back together. So close to the end and a tropical rainstorm has started. It's too windy to put the gazebo up, and raining too hard to work outside (engines don't work well under water). Grr :headbutt:

One day you're gonna wake up to see me loading your garage up onto a flat bed

I didn't even start owt today, got no motivation when you have to stop mid-job for rain

I did my xenons just before it pissed - was amazed how much work it took making it look neat and finding somewhere for those bloody ballast packs..

Still can't figure out which part of the pipes are leaking coolant either - pissing me off almightily now

pfft...

I can see the drip mate - its near the rad but its one of those pipes that you can't get too without ripping half the car off..

Any anyway didn't you do the seal prior to pickup dawg?

The join on the pipe from the bottom of the rad that goes to the water pump, and then accross the front of the block to the solid pipe on the n/s is prone to splitting apparently, where it splits into two

Ooo we might have a winner then its drip drip drip on the drivers side of the rad..

Its a bumper off look jobbie I reckon but with this weather and not really anywhere to do it its staying as is - its a really wierd one I had it for for a month every other day I was topping it up - then I was working away for a night and it dropped 3/4 of the coolant bottle on the drive - then recently i've not had to touch it and its been fine - no drips no top ups needed... :D

Still its one of those things that'll catch you out so I'll do it as soon as I can

From what you've described i'd put money ont eh water pump, there is a little hole just below the spindle it will be leaking out of

I've got a garage, but it's full of shit and even when it's not I wouldn't want to work in there - not enough room either side of the car. A big garage would be amazing though. It's not too bad though as their is a car port on my drive so even if it's raining I can carry on working - just means it can be pretty baltic and rain becomes an issue if their is wind as well.

Daz if its not leeking bad try some of that radweld stuff, i had a small leek in mine from the y shaped pipe which connects the block rad and some other part, changed the pipe and it still leeked :S so bunged in the radweld and that sorted it out, then just did a coolant change :D
