View Full Version : bye bye euro, what do u think?

Recently i sold the euro wheels to a good friend john as im looking at saving weight especially when i go to santapod next year. I know the wheels looked good but it was more show than go, after swapping the wheels over i noticed that the euro ones weighed double lol. Instantly the car seemed to pick up so well, so i was happy with that :D. Ignore the ride height i need to get it sorted as soon as i get my shocks back from avo, as seen in the pic the polly bush has warn straight through :shock: they have only been on for 9 months.

Yeah Phase 2's are pretty dam heavy, but still the car looks good... 8)

cheers Gaz looks like there are more weight saving option for the future :wink:

Apparently 1kg of un sprung weight is same as 20kg of sprung weight round a track (or your local twisty B roads), so save all the weight on those wheels you can boys and girls

when i first got the car i hated the wheels, but now there another colour i think is suits them well. They look even better now thanks to Jay s and mr bass direct as they fitted my new brakes at the front, there fully drilled anes from k-tec.

Looks very nice mate, the ph 2's do weigh more but it makes the steering a bit more beefy! :wink: looks just right imo :D

So what wheels are best for weight saving?

only asking cos ive put my spare on today and ive got oz f1 cups on and it felt quite heavy but i had previously heard that they are supposed to be one of the lighter ones. Are pro race 1's substantially lighter because i was thinking about getting a set and heard good things about them?

Car looks good on the phase 2's btw wazza!

Lol yeh they look very tidy on ur blue valver,(I Painted them wheels,and am proud of my work,lol)
