I dont think its really the kind of question you can answer, way too much to take into account such as temp, tyre compound, size, width, personal prefference, start on 30/30 and then adjust till u feel happy...

Book Ref. for 185/55/15's is 32/32 (Motorway Driving)

go for 33F 30R, and play from there

A good tyre gauge would also be very helpful in testing the tyres when they are warmed up properly. Typically should be around 33F/31R when warmed up. Then plus/minus 2-3psi to suit you driving style.

Depends what you are doing on track warm pressures i run arounf 36/38F and 34R, otherwise you find the sidewalls bend on normal road tyres and you end up running on the sidewalls when cornering hard

Thanks boys im pretty sure my tyres are on something low, i deicded to play arund with the air machine at tesco and i think it said the fronts were like 26PSI haha. No the tyres dont have punctures

Ill go back and top them up accordingly.

I should have said road driving pressures. Those pressures you mentioned gets a wee bit too harsh for my liking for daily driving - though I can imagine the "on rail" feeling you get with 38F. And, personally, I would have preferred a more slidey low 30s in the rear. So, what's typical morning cold pressures like in winter? Must be in the mid 20s? Not that my clio will ever find out. :)

This kinda reminds me of a time when I was doing some pre-race testing with an Ariel Atom at Brands with my old work....

I was using a pyrometer and pressure gauge to get the tyre pressures bang-on....a bloke who was there testing his 182 Trophy seen me tweaking and came up to me and said:

"What pressures do you run in this then, cos I dont know what to put in mine (Clio)"

I looked at him and said something along the lines of "thats about as relevant as the pressures in our truck over there!"

He didnt get it

Heh, should have told him that the Atom is half the weight of the Clio, so his tyre pressure should be twice as pumped up as the Atom's. Which should work out to round about 60PSI :D

I've played and played with mine to try to work out what I prefer and I've come to the conclusion that 32/32 is good for slidey winter weather (which is what the book says, so I've done something right LoL) and perhaps 33/32 in summer when the grip's a bit better :)

Does it not say in the back of the manual, if you have one? :)

I just pumped mine up to 34F/31R, and seems to work well

30 psi front and 29 psi rear and thats from cold pressure ( eagle f1's ) they rise 2psi when warm so warm pressure is 32/31

Just checked mine, rears were 12Psi and 15Psi  , fronts were 22 and 25Psi

I shall definately be checking them more frequently, pumping them up to 32/30 didnt solve my slight wobbling at high speed :(

one of my rears was at 6.5, and other was 12.....i blame kerb bouncing for that tho

If you do them regularly you soon pick up when they're getting a bit soft :)
