Finally got my F7R engine in last night with the Williams 2/3 Wiring loom (with relay box) and ECU. Gave the engine a little fire up without the king lead on to get the oil pressure up. Turned it over but the engine wouldnt fire. The fuel pump isn't priming on ignition and I have no fuel to the rail :( god damnit I am so close to having this running aswell now.

Any ideas lads?I will be trying the fuel pump relay off my 16v today (which I believe is in the relay box which is on the wiring loom by the battery). It was working fine in the car it came out of though and my car drove onto the ramp.

Btw, The wiring looms are slightly different. The car is 1992. Anyone had this problem before?

You need to use your original loom as the wires meet up at a different place on the brown and white plugs.
I had this when i fitted an older engine into a newer car.

Nothing easier than just swapping looms over, no.
Unless you want to butcher the wires between the plugs.

you can run an ign live to the fuel pump wire, but as Matt says, its best to use the original loom. I dot it as a rule of thumb where porssible to save ****ing about later.

Glad this has been posted, I am nearly at the same stage myself and was planning using the Williams loom.

This has just saved me a lot of potential hassle! :)

Yeah, it is more down to the age of the car/loom.
The 16v looms are different through the years.
