I have a low level jack, or you could just drive onto a brick/bit of wood first.
Just remember to have it back in place when letting it down.

i have to lift mine very slightly for the jack to fit under, otherwise its a case of a piece of wood or low level jack like mat said

I normally have to use my standard jack on the sill and raise it enough to get the hydrollic one underneath and on one of the bars under the car.

I use the trolly jack at the back under the torsion bar.
Then with the back end in the air, i can put a axel stand under the car and then jack the front like normal and then put the axel stand at the front. Or keep both them both up.

Or use the standard jack to get it up abit then put the trolly jack under.

Mine goes on the standard jack until it is high enough to get the trolley jack underneath.

Standard jack didn't fit under mine lol

Drive onto block of wood - standard jack - Trolley jack

As Matt states... keep the wood in your boot

Bloddy hell, a lot of effort just to change a wheel then lol

With the standard jack its fine for emergencies. If you use a trolley jack just keep a 6" long piece of 4x2 in the boot.
