which sump?

ok guys me and a friend are converting his rt toa 16v hybrid. we have a problem..... being... we managed to crack the sump on the engine we are fitting. we got a new sump but theres a black plastic piece in either sump. which one do we use?

the sumps look to be identical apart from the plastic bits which can be changed?

what are they?

sumps must be different part numbers or you have both halves of the oil pump casing on one side, pic would help you.

the black plastic bits are there to stop oil surge. difficult to tell without pics though.
