got my gearbox out yesterday, to try and figure out whats wrong with it, however can get the bellhousing seperated from the main body of the box, all the bolts are undone and you can get the two about 1.5cm apart and they feel free, but something feels caught inside and they wont fully seperate, whats the magic trick, does it need to be in a certain gear.

you need to take the 5th gear casing off, then the 5th gear/selector fork etc etc off, iirc u need to drop to decent size bolts into there the selector shafts are as u lift the casing off as theres 2 ball bearings which are spring loaded and fall out if u dont, also the external selector arm u will have to wiggle about with untill it comes off with the casing

iirc that is!

i havent stripped a jb/jc box in a year or 2!
