Do i need a whole new rear beam ?

Hit an awkward curb with the offside rear wheel and it now sits in at the top more than the other side. Just wandering whats bent, is is a whole new axle jobbie or is it something smaller ?

more than likely your stub axle is bent

yes. remove the wheel and prise rhe hub bolt cover off, and assess the damage.
