seriously how much heavier are 3's than 2's and 2's than 1's? is there much difference in speed between them? and how do the 3's compare handling wise compared to the others as a result of the sun roof?

I imagine the difference is not that great... The biggest difference being 1's not having side impact bars, and the 2/3's do.

personally i couldn't see a sunroof making any differance, a same spec'd 3, would sit on the ass of a same spec'd 2, given equal drivers, and i would say the same for a 1, not tracked the williams yet, but my valver never had any trouble on the track and that had a whole in the roof

so in other words its all a load of bollocks! imo

awaits the 1's and 2's replys

Im not sure if the Williams 1's are the same but the Ph1's have less sound insulation than the Ph2's and 3's
They will be lighter but probably not by much.

prob a negligable amount speed wise but an abs pump, oil and abs discs weigh a kilo or 2

I'd have said very very little too - infact not even anything to write home about - the amount of petrol in the tank would make a bigger difference

so an extra kilo or 2 from ABS. and perhaps an extra 2kg per side for impact bars... not really much in it I shouln't think :)

...add another few kilo's for the wrong colour paint on the 3's  :P

I can talk about the ph.1 is lacking some sound proofing compares to ph.2 and ph.3. My valver is a early ph.1 and it is significantly louder than other ph.2 and ph.3 i've driven. But i wouldn't think that the weight siginificance is very big.

Well Willy 1s are quoted at 980kg aren't they? The handbook of my Willy 2 says it's 1010kg and I've weighed it at 1000kg dead-on without the (20kg) spare and a full tank of fuel. So perhaps the impact bars, leccy mirrors and extra sound deadening (if Adam is right) weigh more than you think

The extra glass panel and all the mechanisms and metal bracing of a sunroof in the Willy 3 has got to weigh a fair bit more too. And an ABS unit is a fair old weight on its own, let alone any gubbins that goes with it. Anyone actually looked to see what it says in the handbook for a Willy 3?

Whatever, I wouldn't have thought anyone could really notice a difference between the three of them :)

Well i had my valver weighed in when i imported it to Denmark.
The weight said 920 kg's and it is as mentioned above a early ph.1 valver with all options except leather and sunroof.
