Hi all,

Hope someone can help, is the following engine the same as the williams clio engine?


Renault Megane 1999-2002 2.0 litre 16 valve Engine.
Engine code F5R 740

Not as far as i know. The megane engine, that is similar to the Willy engine is also called F7R. (I'am almost sure LOL)

But as far as i know the F5R has 140 hp.

in th elast 15 mins ive been doing some google searches and i need the engine with F7r all over it.....................

Yeah, i did a Google search aswell.. Looks like it has to be F7R. F5R came in the Laguna aswell.

IIRC the F3R is the 2.0 8v, as my 1.8 8v is the F3p engine

yeah F5R is 2.0 16v but down on power to a F7R.

its a weird one, with a totally different block and head to the F7R.

the F5R is 2.0 16V IDE engine, about 140bhp, wouldnt waste your time with one, there a pain in the ass! unreliable crap lol

stick with the F7R, i would say there bullet proof but not quite! as i found out lol :lol:
