Has anyone run these on their Willy or 16v? Been looking at different options for rubber on the front of the rally car and to be honest slicks just work out too expensive. I have been spending over £100 per tyre for Yoko A048's and was thinking of trying the new Toyo 888R's but they are about the same price and neither last long enough to justify spending that much money on them.

Been checking on MyTyres and they do the new Toyo Proxie T1R's in 215/45/15 for £55 each which should just about stretch over the original Speedlines. The dry weather grip should be amazing with something that wide on the front. :D

Not 100% sure on any clearance issues. I'm assuming some people have tried 205's on the front, if so did you have any scrubbing with them?

u really think they will fit over the 7" speedlines? thats nearly an extra inch wider than 195's....

oh btw let me know how it goes... i wanted to put 205's on mine but couldn't justify the 120% price increase over 195 fitting.

According to the Toyo website 215/45/15 will fit a 7-8" rim. I may actually chicken out and just get 205/45/15's instead though at £53 each.

IMO you should get away with it as long as your car is about std ride hieght. If its lowered in any way it will almost certainly foul the arch as with 195s its pushing it already...

but when your leaning into corners like mark does and if turning then i reckon your going to catch them! 195 or 205 mate!
