I have made a mistake in my spring choice, as i never knew that you couldnt compare road springs to coilover springs poundage wise
And i cant send the springs back :( so i need some new ones.
Where can i get some cheap coilover springs for Avo coilovers?

After looking into things, i think Avo are just being orquard.
If the Gaz coilovers run 200lbs springs. Then the 180lbs i have chosen should be fine?

I have tried to find out about spring lengths, does it matter how long the spring is within reason?
Im thinking they may have given me a spring which is to short.
As the spring is linear the length of it isnt as important as it would be as if it was progressive?

Springs are pretty universal.

They come in standard free-length, OD and ID sizings.

I think Eibach springs are something like £30 each.

Demon tweeks are about £12 each for 2 1/4" diameter IIRC you can send them back aswell aslong as they're undamgaed.

The length you have now would be a good starting point.

But i think thats is what is wrong with my current springs.
As with the spring seats as far up as they go the car still fouls the arches..

depends how long your threaded section is, but i would go roughly 75% of the max distance between caps.

ok...u want a slightly longer spring than u have.

I'd say add two inches onto the current length.

yeah thats defo wrong!

highest height should be way higher than std! i can measure for you but wont be till next weekend if that helps. personally id send them back to avo and speak to them about it. get the correct units and your sorted. they are a GREAT company, who have been outstanding with any questions/problems i have had about mine.

Yeah i thought it was wrong to, but according to Avo when i spoke to them, my choosing of 180lbs springs rather than there normal 250lbs means it sits lower than it should.
But as Gaz supply there coilovers with 200lbs springs thats not really a viable excuse imo.
I will ring them again and see what they say.
