Can anyone help here, ive come accross a few sellers of willy engines in various specs and mileage.

Whats the going rate for a good unmolested willy engine with low miles?

A engine with headwork and cams?

A higher mileage willy engine with no history.

Any ideas?

depends how much u willing to pay tbh mate.

personally i wouldnt pay more than 400 for any willy engine, with history or not.

and would be undergoing a full rebuild before it went in my car. a little foreplanning can save a whole load of hassle later on.

Low miles - your looking at £750 - £1000
Worked - depends on the mileage as well, but to the right buyer it will fetch more than a standard one.
High miles - £400 - £600

I paid 350 inc delivery for my megane F7R 714 bottom end. Other megane version is the 710, which is more similar to the williams 700 block. 714 has revised oil pump though (chain driven).

hope they advised you the complete engine will not work unless you get the megane head machined to suit the differant ignition set up.

Thats what most do - 2live got a brand new megane block for £500 from memory.

There used to be a F7R megane bottom end in my local breakers £300. will have a look this weekend to see if its still there.
