I've had one of these before but i think someone (gunner?) found it cheaper as its actually a std part on something else - question is what?

:?

Not sure, but they are a large waste of money.

Only 40quid or so more than std?

I had one on my old 16v and it was loads better than std. Fair enough i don't know if a std 2ltr starter is any good but i'd expect this to be better?

If you've got the OE number for either starter i can tell you what they both fit. 8)

why do you need an "uprated" starter anyway?

Search results for "Clio": http://www.woodauto.com/search.aspx?ref=clio

This is the one for a Williams: http://www.woodauto.com/Component.aspx?Ref=EXS330009102

62quid, good price eh??

The one I bought from bbpt a while back was a "D6RA6" and was sold as an "uprated" unit. Price from these guys, 47quid. Price from BBPT - 100+: http://www.woodauto.com/Unit.aspx?Man=PARIS-RHONE&Ref=D6RA6

Check out the vehicle application list.

also, lol, you can buy seperate replacement parts for little... new solenoid etc for 10quid, these tend to go more often than the actual motor.

Thats the unit i was on about in a different thread. Wasnt sure if it fitted the williams though as i was told the williams one was smaller? We sell them to trade at £26 so that tells you how much BB are making off them! lol.

Lots of "D6RA" units will fit. They are the smaller ones ;)

there you go then £26. lol. Mind you it probably goes through a motor factors 1st so you can see why it's so expensive from them.
