My mate who is building my rally car  ,bought a pair of PILBEAM rose jointed bottom arms from a Vauxhall Corsa Kit Car ~~ 200bhp 1600cc   .With a view to modded them.  But the man from Proflex ~~ suggested running it with the standard ones get the right set up,feel of the car etc  and then   alter the front Subframe mount and make the "triangle" of the rose jointed arms as big as possible, and turn the car over to him    .But I think he might then suggest,I buy the Proflex shockers and turret the rear   .
Whilst it gives 100% set up,positive location etc,It makes the car very much a hard ride.Remember car manufacturers make cars for comfort and at a cost.Hence the rubber bushes everywhere   .
My old Escort with a 5 linked rose jointed axle, plus the rose jointed TCA's was a well evil thing   running around, picking up every bump, pothole etc   ,~~ something you do not get on race track ~~ or you can put up with on a tarmac stage, they are the ultimate for getting the last bit out of the car.

Thats a cool bit of kit. Wouldn't be too hard to copy once the measurements were sorted.

Yeah Ewart my mate races a 180bhp 1.8 metro gti, I was offered the set up via chap who bought it to go in the back of his clio cup car, it came for 350 which i thought was good as the rear calipers alone are worth that.

Ewart is thinking of converting his r19 for track. We had the car up on ramps you need to remove all rear suspension tank etc and re turret for shocks (as most btcc stuff is all hybrid) the only problem our the brakes they need 17 inch rims......

The rear roll bar has gone on the back of his metro as the adjustment on it works a treat, the set up has been shrunk wrapped and on a pallet in the warehouse. A work in progress shall we say.
