Out the top with the engine or out the bottom. what would you say is the quickest i've always taken it out the top but just wondered about doing it the other way
Flan

subframe off all four bolts let it hangdown.. remove box.. quick and easy, used this method this year.. ive tried every other way,, this imo is the best lol,
do you remove the steering rack to lower the subframe. and take it fully off or not.

think bayliss holds the record for a box change..cant remember the time but it was rapid.. i was on course..until the subframe catchment cgae snapped :-(
i think the record for me changing a box in the car on a valver to strip down to take out bottom using a lift etc was 2.5 hours and putting in is about same as long as box goes on no problem (lining clutch up)
2.5 hours out and in  or was that just out.
Took me 3hours to get it out friday night (from 4-7) and i was outside in the dark with a big light
then took me 3hours to put it all back in, lining the box up on ya own is fun  plus it was raining and i got soaked through to the bone
o well had to be done
Nice one flan. i have two to do like this over christmas !
