been searching online, (mytyres, blackcircle) doesnt seem to be a whole load of choice out there for the williams :?

the only good ones i can find are the goodyear f1's and the michelin pe2's

has anybody got or had anything other than those 2 :?:

yokohama paradas? bridgestone so3's? avon cr500? pirelli p zero corsa?

goodyear eagle f1 GSD3's
toyo proxies t1/s or t1/r's
yokohama (cant remember what)

either in 185/55/15 or 195/50/15.

loads of decent, cheap-ish ones out there. i cant say good enough things about the goodyears. 8)

me too, the eagle F1's are great.

A lot better than proxies, and my old fave, yoko's.

thanx for the replies. :)

ive had the goodyear f1's in the past and also found them to be very good.

not tried the pe2's but seem to be recommended by the majority of the club.

i just fancied trying something different , not the toyo's id rather go for the f1's its the same thread design. it just seems that some of the other makes (pirelli, bridgestone) dont do them in the 195/50/15.

my friend used to run the pirelli p zero corsas on his 850r and he used to luv them.

Uniroyal rain sports are amazing in the wet and ok in the dry :)

You can get bridgestone S03's for around 57 fitted in 195/50

Toyo's are great but what are peoples opinion on them compared to the F1's in wet and dry?

goodyear eagle f1's anyday over the toyo.

grip in dry = same

grip in wet - goodyear much better

toyo imo are too soft compound and dissapear much quicker than the goodyears. just personal experience and opnion tho.

Ive had toyos, f1's, kuhmos and yokohamas, all with same traction rating. To be honest the best ive used have to be the f1s as toyos wear too quickly yokos are crap and kuhmos arent grippy enough.

I think though the best you can buy are continental conatct 2s, my mate has them on his fiesta and says they are much better then f1s, but without trying them i dono. Up to you really, depends what you would like people to see written on the tyre wall.

I have run Toyos / F1's and also some Avons, and i can say the toyos are great, but the F1's were very good in the wet but rubbish in the snow lol, i never tried the toyos in the snow. Toyos worked great in the dry and just as good in the wet, but the f1's felt nicer to drive (both are very soft)

Changed to the avons for winter as they seemed to work better in the snow / ice i think they are Z3's ot Z1's somthing like that.

Im currently running Toyos but have 2 sets of good years to go on once i have worn these down, i dont think i will be getting anything other then the f1's now and keeping a spare set of wheels for winter weather

i use goodyear eagle F1, on my 3rd set now, will stick with these for now

had continental contact sport before and they was rubbish, lack of grip in wet and dry! sold them very quickly!

michelin pilots are very good just abit to much though!

had uniroyal rainsports, very good in wet, ok in dry but they was knackered very quickly! dont last to long

ive heard good things about the re720 as well :)

when i had my integra , i changed my f1's to the bridgestone re010's and they were much better, u could seem to find more grip in the dry.

the re720 is similar to the re010's , better in the wet but not as good in the dry.

has anybody had these on there williams?

Having had F1s and Toyos (T1-S version), the F1s are MUCH better in the wet.

The toyos also seem to not bite into the corner particularly well in 185/55 size - I've read that some consider the sidewalls to be too soft and I'm inclined to agree.

I might try the PE2s in summer if I'm rich lol
