has anyone heard of or tried a different single tb to the oe reno 1. im thinking of trying to source a larger butterflyed one but would like to know if there are any drawbacks of doing this. my ideas are

1. larger throttle butterfly's than standard

2. single large butterfly

3. 2 equil sized butterflys

any ideas/experience or opinions would be helpful

as far as i have seen, none from other renaults would fit.

if you really could be arsed, and had the equipment, you could maybe make larger butterfly's, but from memory (i.e. not having in front of me right now to look at) there isnt much you can do, as they are pretty close together.

out of interest which 1's do u know don't fit? im thinking maybe a v6 laguna body or a v6 clio sport body or maybe something of the earlier turbo models. Is it the diameter thats different cause surely you could machine up a adapter plate or do they have a different throttle setup like a fly by wire?

if you can make an adaptor plate, why limit yourself to Renaults?

Thing you need to consider more than anything else is the TPS.
