they are £80+ each from renault

you can try get the cup springs , they only lower by 5mm (practically nothing), and on CS, cup owners are desperate to git rid of theirs.

i got me a set for £30 that have covered less than 15,000 miles, look almost brand new. its a much cheaper option.

Yes!
172 springs are exactly the same as 16v/Williams, the cup ones are slightly lower.

You dont want 172 springs. Might as well fit valver hubs and 1.4 ball joints.

FATBOY
21-11-2006, 18:52
so can you beat his price then????

21-11-2006, 18:53
There exactly the same though so why pay extra from Renault for "williams" springs, when they'll only give you a spring for a 172 labelled "williams".

Buy em from someone whose lowered there generally low mileage 172 and save yourself a packet.

I think there was a certain irony in his post as valver hubs and 1.4 ball joints are the same parts too.

Generally speaking, sellers are told the price of the competitor's product before they price match it...

You won't have any trouble spotting the difference between the fronts and the rears, trust me.
They are black yes, with colour markings to distinguish them, Williams/172 are white/white.
